Product Goals
Q: What does "Publish Changes" trigger?
A: Firstly, an update of the assignment of products to campaigns, whereby the assignment of product to product goal takes place in the background, so that in turn a recalculation of the orchestrator score can be carried out. This recalculation is in turn used for the assignment of products to campaigns (via filter).
And subsequently a sync to GAds, MC can take place.
Q: What is the impact of having more product goals and advertising modes than campaigns?
A: Having more product goals and advertising modes than campaigns can still be beneficial. Different advertising modes will influence the likelihood of a product ending up in a particular campaign, allowing for more targeted and effective advertising strategies.
Q: Can I define product filters for future product attribute values?
A: Yes, when adding product filters, you can define values for attributes like product types and custom labels that are anticipated to exist in the future, even if they do not currently exist in the feed.
Q: What happens if no product filter is set for a product goal?
A: In the absence of a product filter, all products will be assigned to the product goal.
As product goals are processed according to priority, a product goal without a filter can be used as a catch-all at the end, encompassing all products that are not explicitly considered in the previous goals.
Q: Why does the product filter show 0 matching products?
A: Your product filter is set for a lower prioritised campaign and higher prioritised campaigns already include these products. You can edit the priority of a campaign by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner, select “Change priorities” and then drag & drop the campaigns.
