Insights

The insights section provides analysis of your campaigns and products managed with the Campaign Orchestrator. The campaign sections show the overview, details for PMax campaigns, period-over-period analysis and campaign comparison. The product sections show performance per product item as well as per product type.

Filtering

Filters offer a powerful way to refine and target specific data, allowing you to streamline processes and focus on the most relevant information. By applying filters, you can tailor your selections based on criteria such as brand, product type, price, or custom labels, ensuring that only the products or data matching your specific needs are included. This flexibility enhances both efficiency and precision in campaign management and data analysis.

Life Hack

Each insights dashboard offers a range of filter options. If you prefer not to apply filters each time you access an insights page, you can save the filter settings for future use.

Save Filter

To create your own views, simply filter the dashboard according to your requirements and save it as a filter. The filter will then be accessible within your filter set, allowing you to make adjustments at any time.

Here you find an overview of the key filtering options:

(Update)

The update button enables you to refresh the campaign data. To the left of the button, you can see how long it has been since the insights were last updated.

(Hide Filters)

Clicking this button maximizes the display area for your insights. For additional space, you can also use the “Collapse Sidebar” button located at the bottom left of the page.

“⋮” button (Dashboard Actions)

Here you can either download your current view of the Insights or reset the filters.

Date

The extensive range of options allows you to analyse the precise timespan you require. The variations in the three selectable fields provide a comprehensive choice of combinations.

Life Hack

If your campaigns are distributed between different ad platforms (e.g. Google, Microsoft, etc.), this selection allows you to identify differences between campaigns and their success on different platforms.

Date-Picker Filter

If you need a date picker, select 'is in range' from the dropdown and then enter two specific dates for the period you want to display.

Export

In the top right corner of each diagram, you will find a “⋮” button that enables you to download the diagram data in a variety of formats (CSV, spreadsheet, etc.) or the diagram as a PNG image.

Insight > Period over Period

This insights page allows you to compare the performance of selected campaigns to their performance in a different period. To compare a given period with a previous one, as well as with the current week, month, quarter or year, please use the filter.

Attention!

The same number of days are always compared - due to the shift, one of the line graphs may start earlier/stop later.

Previous Period

Compares the amount of days in the reference timeframe (Date) to the same amount of days before the reference timeframe, f.i.:

  • “is in the last 5 days” - Number of Days: 5 / Today: 26th of June / Start reference timeframe is 22nd of June / Start comparison timeframe is 18th of June

  • “is from 1st Jun until 14th Jun“ - Number of Days: 13 / Start reference timeframe is 1st of Jun / Start comparison timeframe is 19th of May

This logic works the same for the previous period, previous week, previous month, previous quarter and previous year.

Align on - defines how the comparison and reference timeframes are aligned, f.i.: Alignment on Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun. In case of misalignment the comparison timeframe is shifted to the nearest matching day of week. This allows to cover use cases like compare Black Friday performance.

  • “is from 1st of June until 7th of June” / Compare to: “Prev. Quarter” / Align on: “Day of Month“ - Number of Days: 6 / Start reference timeframe: 1st June / Start comparison timeframe: 2nd of March - as this is the closest Thursday / End of comparison timeframe: 7th of March - to keep the same amount of days

This logic works the same for days of week, days of month, days of period.

Insights > Comparison

Campaign comparison allows to compare the performance of two specific campaigns sets. Please enter the relevant campaign IDs or names in the filters provided (Set A, Set B).

By default, Set A and Set B are the same (no filters set).

The comparison highlights the performance metrics for both sets and their key differences. It includes a visualization for each metric, showing how the two sets developed over time. Additionally, the comparison outlines the performance metrics for each campaign across both sets.

Life Hack

Set filter values are saved when the Reload button is clicked, and will be used the next time the Dashboard is opened.

Whenever you open the dashboard, it will display data based on your selected filter values. If necessary, adjust the values as needed and click the Reload button to save the changes.

Insights > Product Types

By default, the Product Type Insights dashboard focuses on your top-level product types (“Level 1”). However, you can drill down into level 2 and level 3 as well. To access this, click on the three dots in the first column under "Product Type 1" and select Drill-down. This action will reveal Product Type 2. You can continue to explore further levels as needed. Additionally, you will observe dynamic changes in the available filters and filtering options.
