Product Assignment
Updated over a month ago

The Product Assignment section allows users to filter and assign products based on specific criteria, including brand, custom labels, or product IDs. For example, products from specific brands or bearing custom labels can be assigned to ensure that only these products are included. Moreover, products can be assigned on an individual basis using their unique product ID.

The selectable values of attributes such as Brand or Custom Labels are pre-populated with the values currently present in your product data feed. If you want to filter for a value that is not yet in the feed, such as a newly added brand, you can explicitly add this value using the 'Add Value' button.

Alternatively, a product attribute value can be added manually if it does not yet exist in the feed but is planned for the future. It is crucial to ensure that the name in the feed is identical to that in the product assignment to prevent any potential issues.

It is important to note that the default product assignment is unrestricted. This means that without a product filter, all products will be assigned to the product goal. To manage multiple assignments, it is advisable to prioritise Product Goals, with the goal with higher priority taking precedence.

Life Hack

When entering product IDs, you can easily copy and paste them (CSV, spreadsheet, etc.).

Matching Products

If you are using multiple product Goals, any products contained in a higher target will automatically be filtered out of the lower Goal. A product cannot be in more than one goal.
